I don't mind blue brindle, but it has to be a very dark shade. In Am Stafs, the pigment should APPEAR almost black and to be faulted to the extent it does NOT appear black. In Pit Bulls, there is no faulting on color, period (except for merle); therefore you will see very light, almost pinkish/purplish pigment and light eyes on many UKC dogs more often than AKC. And again, it is NOT a fault for Pits to be like that. I just don't like the washed out colors -- of any kind.
I personally don't care for the dilutes for breeding, as they are too common and have become popular at the expense of the richer, contrastier colors and pigment. Carla |

I have one and am not really a fan, she is very washed out so it's hard to even see the brindling, and that blue color looks anywhere from blue to brown depending on lighting. I don't really like the blue coat at all though on this breed, I don't mind red/reds as much, but can't stand "lilacs" or liver. Give me a blacknosed tan dog or all black anyday. However when we walk them or take them somewhere it's always the blue that gets the comments, everyone loves it and no one says boo about my male.
