Well the people who did the siding for my house apparently think THEY know better than me what I should do with my dogs.
I left for school today with both dogs in separate portions of the house. I came home to find my dog wandering around in the backyard with the backdoor open and Olive having free reign of the house The worst part is they KNOW I dont let Irie off her chain if she is outside period. She can and has jumped the fence on more than one occasion. ALSO there is a daycare that shares the fence and the kids stick their fingers through the chainlink fence and call my dogs over. Fine except the parents complain that my dogs "will kill the kids" so I put up a garden and a mini fence to separate them and Irie's chain only reaches to the mini gate. So what do I find? Irie romancing the kids IN MY GARDEN loose in the backyard. Not to mention Olive attacked Irie right in front of them before, luckily I always was in between them just for that reason. So yes Olive didnt attack Irie but she COULD have, what then? Who would have broken it up? If the person was bit who would get sued? YEA ME! I am boiling right now, lucky this was their last day here. |

Well its not the going inside that I care about, I mean they need to pee and drink water its the dogs I care about. I told them they can use the restroom and get drinks but NOT TAKE MY FRIGGEN DOGS AND DO WHATEVER THEY WANT! Irie was at the front of the house gated from the rear...somehow ended up in the BACK yard..not ok.

Were these friends or something or a company? If it was friends, I would throw a tizzy of a fit all over their day. It its a company, I would explain the situation to their boss and mention that had the dogs bitten or harmed anyone including themselves, you would have hauled the company in to court to pay for the damages to cover the costs of their employees negligence. ANYONE should know better than to mess with someone elses dogs.

One of the people on the job she does a lot of the work around our house but the other two arent. They are licensed but I dont know if you would consider a crew a company? I am trying to figure out how to approach it. I mean I want to say something but I dont want to sound like a crazy dog lady. Next time when we can afford the rest of the siding maybe I should just not let them use the bathroom so they cant even go inside.
I hate being put in a position where I have to be a dick. I mean I have REASONS behind doing things. |

I would contact the BBB that is NOT ok. If there is no official "company" to complain about, then i would rip them a new ass hole, and take my business elsewhere. |

There is no way I'd let people in my house with my dogs here if I wasn't home, unless I moved ALLLLLLL the crates into the quarentine room as there is a lock on it. Nobody handles my dogs unless we have to go in hospital and then we pretty well have no choice. I would have freakin' SNAPPED and they'd be out of a job.

Boy, I would be fuming!!!!!!
Down here workers bring their own water in coolers. If I have work done on the house, I am there. I never, ever let people in my house unattended. Workers don't even get to go in my house at all unless they are doing work in there. If they have to get a drink or use the bathroom it's up to them to find a place. I don't care if they pee in my garden & crap in the ditch, but they aren't getting around my dogs or in my house if I can help it. It is unwise to let people in your house & that goes triple if they are unsupervised. Heck, you are lucky the dogs were even there when you got back. Doesn't Olive have puppies? They could have swiped the whole litter along with Olive. They could have taken Irie too if they were greedy. Or they could be scoping out your place so their friends could come back & rip you off. As for what you can do, I would report it. If they're licensed there has to be some reporting agency you can report them to. There are also plenty of online websites to report shady businesses or people, so others know to stay away from them. If you do not want to use these people again, I would report the tar out of them. Heck, if you cannot report them to the BBB, get a police report if you can. If you do want to use their services in the future however, I would just make sure your house is locked up tight, the dogs are put up (not outside!) when you are gone & make sure to tell them about your new security cameras (if you don't have any, get some!) Blessings & good luck! |

man I would be beyond pissed, if you leave my fiance's disabled terrier out for 10 mins unattended he will be out of the yard and down the street dragging his legs behind him (no matter what I do to the fence he gets out so he is never aloud out alone) and if they took Goren off his chain spot and he got out omg I could just see the headlines after he kills a squirl and a cat and a bird and then "stalks" (follows someone wanting to play) someone...

Thats the worst part! I have used this same person for 6 months and she is great, never had a problem. It is when the two guys came along that they think this is their house or something. She even STILL asks me if she can have a glass of water. I think I may have to talk to them about it. I still cant get over the fact would if Irie got out? Would if she got hit by a car?
I am too nice to people because I dont believe I am better than anyone so I dont want to treat people like slaves but talk about give an inch take a mile! ---------- Post added at 05:59 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:57 PM ---------- There is no way I'd let people in my house with my dogs here if I wasn't home, unless I moved ALLLLLLL the crates into the quarentine room as there is a lock on it. I dont even like people coming over to see the puppies, walking my dog, or even giving them treats (I try to teach stranger refusal because of the amount of poisonings..even though it doesnt help Iries shyness) |

I would not have them even let them in my house. We have a rule in our house that if we do not know you do not come into our house and if you are not over the age of 21 you do not come into our house. It is just better for us that way. Plus we are super paranoid about people knowing our business. If we had someone working on our house it would either a) be locked up or b) someone would be there at all times. We just do not trust people at all. Let alone someone coming in a messing with our dogs.
