They only wanted $150 for it. Which is still too much for an unvaccinated, un-neutered pup when you consider the risk for parvo and other diseases. Plus can you really trust their word on the worming and flea preventative if they haven't even given it its puppy vaccinations.
I'd look elsewhere also. Have you checked out your local shelter and/or rescues? petfinder.com is handy dandy for finding shelter pups. ![]() |

I don't like what this woman is communicating at all ... FWIW, our Trusty was adopted from L.A. County Animal Control and his adoption fee was $37.00, and that included all shots, microchip, neuter and a temperament test.
APBT rescues in our area will charge about $150.00 to $250.00, and the pup/dog will be speutered, shots, etc., and often comes trained. I'd take a look at yur local shelters and rescues as well ... |

Hi, puppies are sold unnuetered unless from a shelter. a shelter will nueter and charge u a adoption fee a minimum of 250.00 100 more than i am asking vaccinations r cheap at a low cost clinic. this is a 750 pup and i was giving him to u for only 150 and with no intense application or screening process. answer is no. first the dog is up to date on his shots, but now he isn't anymore? at 4 months old?! ![]() without intense screening? wtf? who in his right mind would rehome a pup, looking for the best home possible as she says but not do intense screening? IMO, really... run away from that chick... |

Didn't you say in your first post that she said he was up to date on shots? I was going to buy the pup but after reading your responses you guys changed my mind. Obviously shes lying to me. I told her i would buy the dog for $150.00 if she took it to the vet, got all the shots it needs, and the neutering i would take care of. Has not responded to me as of yet. Ill keep you updated. |

I honestly wouldn't pay that for a puppy with no shots and not neutered.
I can go to my local shelter and pay $40 and get a puppy any day of the week with all shots, spayed/neutered, wormed and microchipped. This coming Saturday they are having an adoptathon and the fee is $25 for pups and adults! Not that I need a dog! Check petfinder.com I'm sure you can find a nice puppy or young adult in your area. Shelters and rescues are overflowing with dogs right now. Good luck! |

If she lied about shots, she could be lying about his temperament, the reason she's giving him up, whether or not he's healthy, etc. Don't trust her at all.
Our rescue will adopt out dogs for $75 that are vaccinated, altered, and microchipped. Pups are $110. $250 sounds like a high price for a shelter. Rescues charge more sicne they usually don't get government fnding. |

At 4 month the dog should be fully vaccinated (all booster shots and rabbies). Unless you have to have the dog for that much and given the pup's temperament is as stated (well, seeing how you were lied to about the shots, I'd question all of their claims) go for it.
I got my dog for a dollar (I never get a dog for free) when she was only 5 weeks old, the original "owner" paid 200 to a BYB, had the dog for 2 days, and couldn't keep it. |

Hello,
That is a very fair price. They are probably wanting to get rid of the dog because like so many people, they think it's going to be SOOOOOO Fun to own a dog. Then the dog needs to be walked, fed, cleaned up after, potty trained...etc. All the fun goes out the window and they give up and put the poor baby on craigs list. Please take this dog and give it a good forever home. |

It's a tough call. If you could see the dog and observe the temperament, $150 is not too much for a well-temperamented dog. It shouldn't be neutered at 4 months anyway....in my opinion.
It sounds like the dog has had some of it's shots and is in the middle of the series. Again, it would be better if you could see the pup and it's situation...not having all the shots but in the process of getting them would not be a turn-off for me if I could see the pup. If this is your first dog, I hope you are well-versed in all the issues involved in owning a "pit bull"... Carla |

It is very important that you clarify the up to date on shots that you say they posted. If the dog is up to date or have started vaccinations and they have records you can see yourself then 150.00 is not too much for a dog.
Vetting the dog and training it and keeping it safe and healthy are all far more important then the price of 150.00. You are looking to own a breed that requires a good deal of knowledge. If you decide not to get this dog I live in NJ, PM me if you want a good reputable pitbull rescue in your area. |
