There is a long path in my neighborhood where people jog and walk their dogs. I had Bella on leash, a german shepherd (with his owner-OFF LEASH) coming in the opposite direction walking towards us. Bella is familiar with this dog, because we have seen it several times in the neighborhood walking (on-leash), no problem. But today, as the owner and dog start to get closer Bella walks closer to the dog, as I pull her off to the grass, the german shepherd leaves the owner's side and runs towards Bella taking a chunk right next to the base of her tail. Bella's running in circles crying and yelping, and the other dog is NOT letting go... this goes on for a few minutes... Finally the dog lets go and the owner asks me IS SHE OK? I say NO and run home and jump in the car to the vet.

She is so sweet... Tall wagging and giving kisses to everyone at the Vet's clinic, as if she just didn't get a chunk ripped out by that stupid dog! I'm just waiting for the call to pick her up She will be okay, it just heavy on the heart! I can't stop crying! lol First dog bite, I'm sure many of you understand!
