Default Putting the shot (not really science)
They are doing it again! The actions of projecting the various pieces of apparatus are different. One throws a discus; one hurls a javelin; one tosses a caber; and one puts a shot. For some reason when they list the apparatus they call it the discus, the javelin and the shot put, not the discus throw, the javelin hurl and the shot put. This leads to such silly comments as "She's picking up the shotput now" or "He's getting ready to throw the shotput". I wish someone would tell these clowns that the cannonball being thrown is called a "shot" and "putting" is what you do with it. I know where I would like to put it in the next ignorant commentator.
