I always like the threads on different forums where people show what their desktops look like. Let's set a limit of 800 width. That should be big enough. If you don't have a place to upload it, PhotoBucket works good (though I HATE their web design).

I'll get it started with my iMac at work (I'm running XP & OS X side by side, and they both have the same background, I just like OS X more): (by the way, this is a photo I took)
