How the **** does somebody manage to shoot 87 people to death? WTF?

The island the youth camp was at was 3/4th of a mile away from the shore on an island. He had them trapped.

Some tried to swim, etc. But it sounds like most tried to hide in caves, trees, etc...and he went after them.
