To do really good stuff with cameras despite knowledge talent and eye or sense of impact.. You need to be able to set image situations up. This requires expensive equipment and a devotion to the perfect image.

chocolate box shot.. my wife used to say whenever one of those came up in a slide show. Watching people and their reactions whilst viewing a slide show of my selection I could tell that the human interest angle is more important than the perfect image. When I first showed a slide show to my remnant schoolfriend peers after we left school, I was told.. "Look don't get me wrong, you take very good photos of birds and bees and flowers.. but where are the people in it?"
