The night time rituals we grew up with are not much better.

Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the Lord my soul to keep
If I should die before I wake
I pray the Lord my soul to takeAnd don't get me started on Grimm's Fairy Tales... or really any fairy tales. They were just gruesome.
