Geez...something else to worry about......I'm going to go look at her chewed off one.

I don't put any in plastic once they are opened, just set them up on a shelf on a paper towel.

Perhaps putting them in plastic might be causing this, what is the temp?

We get these nasty little bugs in our bird seed if left in warm plastic containers. We refrigerate or add diatomaceous earth to the seed now.
