I haven't watched Ken Miller's video either but I read his book Finding Darwin's God. Miller is the only theist I know who doesn't think God created the first living cell. As an atheist, I agree with him. But this is the perfect place for him to play his god card since we don't know how abiogenesis occurred. Why doesn't he? I'm puzzled.

Because Ken Miller is a scientist and there are strong theories about abiogenesis, and it's thought it will be replicated in the lab within the next 10 - 20 years.
