I don't think you understand life and death situations. Have you ever been in mortal combat (as in FOR REAL this guy's gonna kill me, he's already shown his intent in that regard, so it's either me or him, right here, NOW), or even fired a gun at someone fully intending to kill them 'cause you were extremely pissed off??
