...it's funny that I'd heard that the etymology of the word 'holiday' which is oft spread around as 'happy holidays' instead of the usual merry christmas, happy hanukkah and happy new year, actually translates to 'happy holy days' (hee hee) and most of the people that say it have no interest in holiness or wishing it upon others! (my incipient sarcasm sneaks out once in a while....) it is funny though,...... most people only have two real holy days, and they are the shopping days directly after thanksgiving and christmas!
(I say this in good-natured fun and without rancor towards anyone! just my sense of humor)
