The commentary seemed to suggest that Bourdais was doing very well considering it was his "rookie" season. I discount their surprise to be honest because you don't get to be champion of any racing series without having a fair amount of nous and skill; yesterday Bourdais showed us yet again that he has both in spades.
What let him down was the same reason as every Ferrari engined runner, quite frankly the engines were rubbish.
