I once had to wait 3 hours in a traffic jam in order to get into the BTCC at Donington Park, and I missed the first race because of it. I didn't seek legal redress however.

With our carp transport/road systems, us Brits are battle hardened to traffic jams.

Mind you, we used to think Silverstone had bad jams.......
