I have to many people coming to the door. UPS and fex as well as alot of the kids in the neighborhood wanting to play with mine. Mine would not hurt them but they get excited when they hear a knock that it takes a min to get all three back and calmed down. I have one ups driver that knocks and goes back to his truck and waits....he his trained very well lol

If i lived in a nice neighborhood maybe not have any sign at all but its not as nice as it used to be and getting worse by the day and i need them to be aware.

If you don't want people knocking that put up a sign that requests that people not knock on the door. If you have to get the dogs calmed down before you open the door then do so or put them behind a gate. My dogs are always stashed behind a gate if someone comes to the door. It also prevents accidents such as a dog darting out of the house when the door is opened.

Get an alarm system and a gun if you need protection. Don't rely on a dog (probably untrained in protection) to do the job.
