Thats what we call a zip line around here. My buddy has Petey set up that way since he likes to cause drama at the fence and they live on a corner lot so they get a lot of people walking dogs go by. They string it up between two trees and now Petey can't reach the fence of hop it. Its doable in a suburban yard if you have just a couple mature trees or are willing to get creative and use one of those old laundry posts...things like that.

Personally, I prefer a chain link kennel with a top and floor because less chance of escape or injury and it keeps the poops all in one place.
