Hmmmmm.

A horrible thought went through my mind. Steal her and find her a good new home yourself.

Yeah, bad thought. Don't do it.
Ignore the last part of the message and do it. Fix her up yourself and have her stay at a friends house, until she's in the shape to find a new home. I mean they must really don't care if she's always in YOUR yard.
