Here is my 2 when I finally decided to film them...about 20 minutes after they started. It shows them get into a bit more vocal part after the ear gets bit. But they do this crap all the time, throat grabs, rolls....they each take a turn on the bottom though.

That's such a good clue to the state of play (exc pun). Switching roles shows playful intent & good vibes between the dogs. When one dog is trying a bit to hard to stay on top then that's the time to really pay attention.
