Rawhide expands when wet. Inside a dog it can expand and then wrap around the stomach or intestines and cause blockages. A lot of people still give rawhide, but I don't think its worth the risk.

Most raw feeders give their dogs bones as part of their diet. So, I'm gonna saw that an uncooked and sturdy bone is fine.
