Well the family was barbecuing in the back yard today while the kids were splashing around in a pool. Some of the family is weary around dogs(not scared, just..cautious) so we put the three dogs on leashes and put the end of the leashes on stakes. The three dogs roamed where there leashes(which are pretty lengthy, in my opinion) allowed. The doorbell rings and it’s the ACO, saying he’s from Savannah Animal Control Dispatch, and he understands we have three dogs and just wants to let us know putting them outside on leashes like that is illegal and it’s called tethering. Next time the dogs will be permanently removed.

Everyone was like WTF? Pretty much everyone where we last lived did that..but in a Gated Community, people a pretty touchy about dogs so..

Anyway, why is tethering illegal? Do you agree with it? I’m just asking because I’ve heard of tethering, but I never fully understood it.
