I understand that.. but why people here when presented with a dog without papers.. we all call it mutt? Then when it's papered even though it comes from a bully line (which we call mix) we still brand it as AmBully because the papers says so?

If that is the case.. then we shouldn't register all of our dogs because papers means shit, right?

So let me ask you, do you have a registered dog?
i dont register my dogs. my GSD was already registered, my pit bulls papers were put in a file folder hand written. ive never gone by what a registry calls it, i call it what the breeding states it is.

Because half the time, the people that posts the pics also posts something along the lines of "what do you think he/she is." Now don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with mutts. I've had the opportunity to work a few blackmouth cur x apbts and they make good catchdogs. However, most of us say mutt since without papers, you really can't tell. Hell, even with papers you can't tell. I'll bet you money I can register an apbt mastiff mix and falsify the ped. Then I can register the dog into the adba and they'll accept it because I have the $$$. I'll bet you any amount you want to bet, in fact, it has already been done. Look at the camelot and the dagger dogs.
and in that note, if it works for the person who owns the dog, thats awesome for them.

Definitely true. I can register a lab or even a mix as a purebred apbt. All I have to do is paper hang, hell all these bully breeders did and so did the weight pull line dogs such as dagger and camelot. However, it still doesn't make the dog an apbt. However, I would also like to add that there should be two types of apbt, now that I think about it. You have yourself the conformation type dog and then you have your working dog. The difference in the two is that the conformation dog may look better than the show dog, but the show dog has more strength, speed, stamina, and above all else, heart.
most would call that a cur.. lol
