yea I do the same thing, I hate being surprised, as my post about being charged by a dog yesterday can kinda tell. I watch everywhere when I am walking, the only things that really surprise me are fenced dogs if I don't see them in the fence. I hate looking like I am not in control so I train train train, but that can only get me so far, so I am very vigilant when I walk, its a reason I use a prong and 3 foot lead.
