You guys are awesome! Thank-you!

Yer lucky!

Just grin and bear it and keep the dog away from anywhere it disturbs them....

Oh yes, I know. lol. All the more reason to keep up with that savings account. lol. Good for vet bills and security deposits.

You may have to face the ugly truth that he just doesn't like your dog. My mama is the same way. I wanted to bring my Pit Jersey Girl to W.V. and she was strongly against it. Pretty much told me that J.G. would under no uncertain terms "eat" her yorkie. The bad thing is she never met J.G. Some people just won't hear how wonderful the Pit breed is. I hope you can get him to change his mind.
I don't think he'll ever stop hating our lovely breed, ironically before I knew she was a Pitbull mix.. He /loved/ her but someone let slip that she was in fact half pit bull and he looked like he'd seen a ghost. lol. I can't help but shake my head at him. My goal is more so to stop him from bad mouthing the APBT, the breed doesn't need another clueless moron spitting out false truths.

I wouldn't let my dogs play with a yorkie for love or money! They're edgy terriers too (yorkies) and they wouldn't last long enough in a scrap for me to get a breakstick!
The Yorkie was the first dog she met when she was very young, they played on leash at my feet and involved all playbows, rolling and chasing. She's more like her bitch (Lab) when she plays then her sire, she just likes to run around like a loony with other (friends) dogs. She's def getting to big for the Yorkie now though.

Some people will just never like the breed no matter how great you show them they are.
I'm very happy neither of my parents are like that, they think my pups the greatest and spoil her just like grandparents should However they were a little nieve and I had to really drill home about potential DA and about how important it is for Athena to grow up to be a well behaved dog and about all the things she will face simply for her breed.
Just make sure your pup is well behaved and trained and maybe he'll learn to keep his opinions to himself, probably not but there's hope
My mother loves my girl, absolutely adores her really. I agree though, sometimes the only way to get someone to listen is to show them by raising a well behaved dog.
