Yer lucky! Just grin and bear it and keep the dog away from anywhere it disturbs them.... Carla
You may have to face the ugly truth that he just doesn't like your dog. My mama is the same way. I wanted to bring my Pit Jersey Girl to W.V. and she was strongly against it. Pretty much told me that J.G. would under no uncertain terms "eat" her yorkie. The bad thing is she never met J.G. Some people just won't hear how wonderful the Pit breed is. I hope you can get him to change his mind.
I wouldn't let my dogs play with a yorkie for love or money! They're edgy terriers too (yorkies) and they wouldn't last long enough in a scrap for me to get a breakstick!
Some people will just never like the breed no matter how great you show them they are. I'm very happy neither of my parents are like that, they think my pups the greatest and spoil her just like grandparents should However they were a little nieve and I had to really drill home about potential DA and about how important it is for Athena to grow up to be a well behaved dog and about all the things she will face simply for her breed. Just make sure your pup is well behaved and trained and maybe he'll learn to keep his opinions to himself, probably not but there's hope
