My whole family, minus me, has Labs. All are AKC registered, so they are purebred, but they are definitely not in standard!

Parents have a 9yr. old yellow that is actually a good height for a Lab (and everyone says 'he's so small!'), but is fat and we can't figure out why (thyroid, etc. tested). When he was younger, he was about 65lbs.
My one brother's is a good 100lbs., and is HUGE. I will say that he is gorgeous, but he is just way too big for a Lab.
Other brother has two, his older male is probably 80lbs., and he just got a pup that is not yet 5 months and is already 45-50lbs. He looks like a little moose he's so big. I try to (nicely) tell them that Labs are NOT supposed to be that big, but everyone wants to 'big 100+ lb. Labs'
