I don't doubt that you were up against minds that were already made up before you even entered the courtroom.
Sadly, there are people out there that make up stories about a pit attacking just in order to get rid of it from the neighborhood. I've seen it happen. I had a neighbor that tried to pull that crap on me. However, I was one step ahead of him with a camera and caught his sorry butt in the act.
It may not have been what happened with you but irregardless, the point is that because your dog is a pit you have to go above and beyond the normal call of duty in pet ownership to ensure that your dog is secure and safe.
If you are going to have to try to appeal the decision you need to have all your ducks in a row. You need to have good information and facts about the breed. You also need to make changes NOW to secure your dog and go to court with those changes in place and ask for the dog to be allowed with the security changes.
