JMO, I would think if you could shoot that dog for messing with your livestock, that it wandering in and getting hurt by one of yours wouldn't be an issue. Honestly, it might be the best thing for it, because maybe then it'd learn its lesson and not come back. We've had similar things happen here (dogs acting up until one day they get their nose chomped and then they settle down).
