Great Topic: For me it's also all about gapping and you need to analyze your game and how often you come up and say, jeez I wish I had that 4i -VS- how many times you've used the 52* in a round.
I have always heard and believe that the scoring clubs are those hit from within 150 yds or so.
I personally take my chances with being in-between clubs from 180-210 out, I take the extra club and swing easy. First, my expectations are bit lower, with a hope to get on the green while eliminating landing in that area that is DEAD; but when I an 90-125 yds out, my expectations are high and want/need to be more accurate. I'd rather have a full or almost full swing from that distance than -VS- having to muscle a shot or take a 3/4 swing which at our skill level is more difficult.
