in the trucks, the engines rotation spins towards the passenger side. when they stand on these massive trucks with their massive engines the 2500+foot lbs. of torque they have are pushing down on the passenger side engine mount and pulling up on the drivers side mount. most of the power goes to the tranny but some of the massive power goes into the frame trying to hold the motor from ripping out of the truck. thats how the pick the front drivers side.
