That's insightful.

There appears to be three types of films being made in the US, two large groups, and one small.

Group 1
1. PG/PG-13 moneymakers. This is where everything is headed. Just a hint of boob, and a "fudge" here-and-there. Oodles of bloodless movie violence.
2. R-rated torture porn. Most new slashers, Saw, Hostel, Turistas. In short - naked white girls (with occasional uber-americana asians) being tortured to death by deranged lunatics/monsters/ghosts/etc...
Group 2
3. Art films - romanceless romance, unerotic sex, endless nihilism, and some more torture porn (see: Human Centipede).

Our culture is sick.
Funnily enough, NOEM is really none of those [rofl]. It's not PG13, it's R-rated. Yet it has no nudity, and really isn't very gory. Still sucked though.


Also, if you think that's all that's out there for films nowadays, you're watching the wrong films.
