The new Ovi Maps is pretty decent. 3.x is much better than 2.x but still not as good as Google maps from a usability and speed perspective, IMO. Of course, if you've got one of the devices that's supported as of today I can't imagine a reason why you wouldn't want this. You get a fully-featured navigation package from the world's largest mapmaker on your phone with substantial location-based info that you can access without using the network and it's free forever. Score.

According to Nokia, this release supports 20-odd million devices in the market right now. This is how you put the hurt down on your competitors - sorry Garmin and TomTom. The number of Androids in the States offering Google's package is a tiny fraction of this and people were saying that it was the end of standalone GPS navigation devices. If Google's offering was the end of Garmin and co., then what is this?
Now... When will it be available for my E71, Nokia! [help]
