It's apathy like this that means people keep getting ripped off. Would it have really ruined your day to spend five minutes querying the supermarket rather than getting on the nerd express to futuremark?

For the record, I'd probably have done nothing about it as well.

5 minutes? More like an hour listening to some retarded babble on about how it's not his job, and he doesn't know, and waffles are on sale, but somebody spilled milk is aisle 12, and he isn't paid enough for this job, and his girlfriend left him.

I prefer to interact with as few people as possible when I'm out and about.
