i don't knows comment is making you laugh really. i'm not sure if you were laughing at my comment (i'm hoping not).
even tho i don't agree with police using excessive force, regardless of age group.
on the other hand i am absolutely standing behind what i said.
she should have signed it without arguing at all. then go to the court to appeal. all she has to do is keep her head low and show up at the court and say she doesn't agree with the speeding ticket.
this is why there are laws. to make things easier to deal with, without even having to argue face to face with people.
but back again to this ladies situation.
please tell me how the police should have handled this in your opinion. seriously should they have used a sedative dart maybe ? and cover around her with feathers ??? so she wont hurt herself while falling ?
u think she was willing to cooperate if the officer tried to grab her arm to arrest her ?
there are procedures he HAS to go thru, like people having to have handcuffs regardless of crime etc at the back of the car etc etc.
u think she would have said oh .. alright mr officer .. let me turn my back so u can put the cuffs, and would you be kind enough to lock my car ? and call my husband bla bla ? is this my seat?
every person is responsible for their actions regardless of their age.
speeding might not seem like a big deal .. oh shes 72 just a little bit over the limit what is the big deal ???
would ppl talking in this ladies defense say exactly the same things if the news was.
"72 yr old speeding lady killed a 6 yr old crossing the street."
there is a reason why there are laws, and WE do give away some of our freedom to these people, law makers and enforcements so we can be safer even at times that we don't feel any threat.
