Whats wrong with a collared shirt and tie (your own from home...) then the grad robe over top? Thats how we did it. I wouldn't want to share the same tux as a bunch of other people.

in the US, class pics are taken in Tux's... noone wants to rent or buy one for the ocassion, the school supplies them so everyone looks very uniform and, why tux's you say? Well, why not tux's.
