Hmm, well you can't beat free. I do have a question about dual exhaust for this car. To me, it seems silly to put dual exhaust on an I6. What does that manifold look like? 3 cylinders tie together and go into one pipe? Just curious.
For optimum scavenging, you do, indeed, have the front three and the back three tied together with the secondaries either joined or independent, as that gives even exhaust pulses. Alternatively, 1&6, 2&5 and 3&4 have been used as primaries with a 3>1 collector.

My main concern would be using cherry bombs as they're darned inefficient. Given a choice, I'd always go for a large, triple pass or similar muffler - the good ones are actually LESS restrictive than using a straight piece of pipe.

Could look at it as a nice drive with a free exhaust thrown in.
