Better to pray Taraweeh alone than to pray behind an Imam who trims less than a fist!

Assalamu alaykum
Our Mufti sahib quoted one incident.
A brother without beard was calling the azaan. The local (zealot) Imam told the brother don't call the azaan, you are not eligible for that. And he showed fatawah mahmoodiyah etc.
Incidentally mufti sahib was around. He told the brother, "your desire to say the azaan is appreciable, it is adaab to have a beard to say the azaan. Just make intentions that you will not shave the beard and then say the azaan".
Mufti sahib said "the intentions of our elders is not that beard shavers shouldn't say the azaan, but, respecting their good intentions the respected ulema would like to make their tashkeel for keeping beard".
Similarly here, respected mufti sahib intentions is to give a
message to the haafiz
, "see haafiz sahib, if you trim the beard, the musallees will prefer to go and pray taraweeh alone at home".
