Why Allah was not the protector of the torah and indjeel? Neither the Injil nor the Tawrah was corrupted, the Qur'aan is clear on this issue:

Therefore woe be unto those who write the Scripture with their hands and then say, "This is from Allah," that they may purchase a small gain therewith. Woe unto them for that their hands have written, and woe unto them for that they earn thereby.

Qur'aan Suratul Baqarah, Ayat 79.

Persons who were entrusted with the scriptures, had the authority to teach and train others in the veracity of the revelations, verbatim. Unfortunately, their positions or their biases or perhaps nafs (desires) got to them and then they wrote words claiming it to be Allaah's. According to Encyclopedia Judaica, the Tawrah was admittedly lost atleast 3 times in history and rewritten from what the "scholars" could remember:

"They say that when Ahaz burned the scrolls of the Law the priests of Yhwh hid one copy in the Temple, and that Hilkiah found it while searching for the silver. The scroll happened to be open at the passage Deut. xxviii. 36; and it was this that terrified Josiah." (Jewish Encyclopedia - Volume 6, Page 396, "Hilkiah")
