salam alikum, good point, tha ban of alcohol in name of islam would have different impact. People still think that ban of alcohol in name of islam would be the same like banning it for other reasons. I think ban in name of islam would not be so cold-blooded as our Prophet shown us aslo way how to treat people who drink (or generaly who make things which they should not do). What I try to say - any ban in name of islamand consequently treating person in islamic way - should not creat cruelcy, isolation and hate. OK - difficult to express. w alikum assalam
