black people are the most neglected by the ummah. We give dawah to the white man...emphasize the white man. Kiss up to the white man....how about black people? Seriously something to think about.
Even after reverting to Islam they still are neglected, they are looked down on and judged because of the color of their skin. They are not welcomed nor accepted when walking into any gathering ( even and Islamic one) . In less than 1 year 3 local black sisters have reverted to Islam here and have joined a group of 20 sisters who reverted within the last few years. These sisters don't mix with the community here which are mostly ( gujratis) they don't feel welcomed. It's sad as when the kids of one of these sisters would go to the masjid grown men would pick on him and accuse him of stuff that happens in an around the masjid, most of the time done by our own muslims gujrati kids. Why do they do that? cos he's BLACK and Poor : ( due to that they rarely go to that masjid. Many times they were in the wrong and had no choice but to apologize to the parents of this kid.

I can go on and on .... but I don't know why this sort of negative attitude still exist amongst us Muslims? It's sad ! really Ironic also knowing that we live in a " black populated " country .

May Allah guide us all ameen

Yes, this is why I always wonder why da'wah is mostly restricted to Europe/North America, and not the whole huge continent of Africa. Maybe because there isn't much monetary value to be gained from Africa. The African people's hearts are very soft from what I have noticed. If they see the true beauty of Islam, they will come in hordes.
And to the Caribbean .....

Yup so true and I've seen with the blacks here ( non Muslims) when you talk to them about Islam, they are very keen to hear about it,most of the time impressed by what they hear. Black people here are descendants from Africa , came as slaves to work on the plantations owned by the white Europeans who settled here. Most of them were Muslims so I've heard, sadly generations down we live in a country where the population is majority Christians. It's the same for the rest of the Caribbean.

All the reverts sisters I know came from christian homes, one sister her dad is a catholic priest. They been searching for truth, for that spirituality and close connection they feel now that they are Muslim.

I dream of the day when I can see a local black child, who grew up as a Muslim here stand at the mimbar in one of our masaajids and address the gathering or become the imam of one of our gujrati populated masaajids or maybe lead the taraweeh salah .....
