This nothing but sheer love of Allah to give the servant yet another chance to find the right path and repent from anything that is disliked by Allah.

Tell your friends to hold fast to Allah's path and remain chaste, clean and free from any minor and major sins and abstain from all that is doubtful. Seek Allah's counsel by beseeching His Taubah and Mercy. That is required much more than du'as from us. May Allah keep your friends steadfast on guidance. Ameen
