It's not always feasible if space is short. However, if you have a 'guest' room that can easily be made into a 'spiritual' room. Of course one doesn't have to confine himself there every time he wants to pray, but it's nice to teach the kids that this is where you can go to pray and be quiet if you like. I would have shelves with kitabs and Qur'ans.

Of course one can pray anywhere in the house - one can create calm and peace in their house so the heart is inclined to be near Allah. Get rid of excess furniture and clutter, leave books out on shelves and get rid of the tv.

What else? Not related to having a separate prayer room but oil burners are excellent and very relaxing.
