Asslamo Allaikum,

I agree with the concept but not the words.

Masah CAN be done on Modern Socks and they do fulfill these condition.

"Wilson" brand Cotton Socks in UK fuflill these conditions and they cost £5.00 (for three pairs) and come in Black, White & Grey.

Questions can be put to Deobandi Ulama in Yorkshire (UK) who meet monthly in Bradford OR alternatively Mufti Yusuf Sacha can be contacted via Dewsbury Markaz.

Br. Muadh is this the case with Hanafis? i mean can i wear and do Masah on those socks named 'Wilson' and would it be accepted in Hanafiyya Maddhab?

Maybe Mufti Soofi saheb may shed some Light on this topic.
