As you can see for £140 (where available) its bloody unbeatable.
Its got a full range of auto and manual controls and is one of the best cameras I've had that takes low light shots.

Occasionally come up on ebay for under £100.

You could try its "bigger brother", the 8000fd, (8mp) from Amazon for £131 new.
