That isn't the case in most Olympics. I've heard reports about London being empty. I wonder why turn out to London Olympics has been so low?
Yes, I'm sure that's what you want to believe. The turn out at the Olympics isn't low. It's just that people are (supposedly) avoiding London's usual attractions in favour of going to the Olympics, or avoiding London altogether. Certainly an empty London wasn't my experience when I went up there on Tuesday. But I only went from Victoria station to the IMAX and back. They're expecting a lot more people from tomorrow, since the athletics are starting and the Olympic Stadium will come into use.

The extra tickets are because of sponsors etc. not using their tickets leaving empty seats at "sold out" events and people were complaining.
