It's certainly not the blow out that people were hoping for but I think it looks good.

The PenTile display is a bit of a bummer and so is the camera, but I'm glad that Samsung kept the user-replaceable battery and I'm really glad that they kept the MicroSD card. Performance looks solid and I have no objections to regional variants using A15 dual cores vs. A9 quads. The A15 is a monster and LTE is pretty much a necessity for a "next" phone these days, IMO, so it's no compromise. If anything, a quad core without LTE is the compromise.
I agree with everything you said except that you have one mistake; it will have a dual core Krait not an A-15 based SoC.

That shouldn't be a concern either, since Krait S4 benches show that it's very close to the quadcore chips in performance and has an even faster gpu. Also, I would be hard pressed to believe that a user would notice a tangible difference between the the two chips.

As for LTE, I think it's hardly a compromise to go without since later iterations of HSPA are providing speeds which are quite comparable to LTE along with better battery time. I'm not for a second saying that HSPA is as fast as LTE but how is the user supposed to notice the difference between 15mbits and 25mbits on a phone ?

The pentile decision confuses me but it was probably due to price or availibility of Amoled Plus screens at that size. In reality the use of pentile does not make a difference from Samsung's perspective, consifering that 90% of users are not the anal ***** that we are and won't affect their purchase.

Also, pentile as a criticism is quite a null point since the cons of these types of screens are not apparent at a PPI of greater than 250. I have recently seen the Galaxy Nexus next to a One X and beyond the fact that they use different panel technology there is nothing that makes the Nexus pentile screen look any worse.

Oh yeah, posting 200x magnification photos and macro shots 1 inch away from the screen is ridiculous and definitely not a realistic way to try to to show the difference between pentile and non-pentile screens.

Ps. only first sentence is a direct response to Inept, the rest is my general commentary.
