I like dogs but it sounds like your's is untrained. My dad's dog literally is the best trained dog I've ever seen as a family pet. He automatically heels even when off the leash, he will stop and come back when called (even if he was about to chase after a squirrel or something), he rarely barks and will stop when told, and in short is all around pleasant. No, he didn't start out that way and it took several years of very consistent training to get him that way but the end result is well worth it.

Just be a good owner, put in the hard effort, and train your dog.
Uhhh, what? How do you figure my dog is untrained? Please cite my posts. I need to know exactly what kind of idiocy you are going on about.

@Supr49er: Yeah, I know what that sort of thing happened just yesterday. My chocolate lab first got tag-teamed by a couple of boxer puppies (they couldn't have been more than 4 months or so though, so you gotta give them and the owner some slack) then got humped by a Doberman. The Doberman scared her so much she actually ran faster than I've ever seen her run (and I've seen her run fast before) all the way to the other end of the park. I had to go find her. :frown: At least the owner didn't think it was funny, but still, if your dog is like that, shouldn't really be off leash.
