All blacks in America were called "colored" not just mulattoes, come on man. The NAACP came together because of lynching primarily.
Yeah yeah but you have to admit the UNIA was the most Pan-African of the two.

How is Garvey's memory regarded in Jamaica today? I remember reading somewhere that the UNIA had chapters in Cuba and the DR at one point. I'll have to investigate more on this, though.
Garvey is a Jamaican national hero so he is remembered positively and honored by Rastafari as a prophet. The Bobo Shanti house of Rastafari even consider him part of the holy trinity.
