Default Why the NFL should stay at 16 games
For those that missed it: Horrific injury during the Packers/Eagles game.

So, staying at 16 games will prevent horrible injuries in Week 1, unlike the injury that happened to Leonard Weaver in Week 1 of a 16 game season?

There are tons of horrific injuries in the NFL. Adding 2 more games just increases the odds that the quality of play will diminish in the post season.

We all know that will never happen due to the money involved. But when it comes to players safety and the importance of divisional games. 12 games would be the ideal number for a regular season.

Not 11 or 13?

Edit. Now I see why you're thinking 12.
