This is for the Tebow haters
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shu...urn=nfl,237105 Tim Tebow is already setting records By MJD ![]() It's Tebow's jersey, though, that sits atop the list of top-selling NFL rookie jerseys. In fact, it's the fastest-selling rookie jersey of all-time, crushing the record set by Mark Sanchez last year. "It’s a pretty substantial difference between him and the next guy," NFL spokeswoman Joanna Hunter said of Tebow’s jersey sales. This wasn't tremendously difficult to predict. Tebow came to the NFL with a legion of fans built-in, and then Denver made a big splash by trading up to get him late in the first round. It also all worked out pretty conveniently from a jersey standpoint: Brandon Marshall just left town, making Tebow's number 15 available, and the Broncos have a similar color scheme to that of Tebow's college home, the Florida Gators. Second among rookies in jersey sales was Ndamukong Suh of the Detoit Lions, followed by the first-pick overall, Sam Bradford of the St. Louis Rams. Rounding out the top five were Eric Berry of the Kansas City Chiefs and the newest Dallas Cowboy, Dez Bryant. |

Im supposed to be impressed with him turning down seven figure deals when he's going to sign a contract worth eight figures so he can spend time doing exactly what he's being paid to do? If this was anyone BUT tebow everyone would say the same thing I am. But because its tebow. Oh no. I get it though...people hate greatness. And tebow is the ULTIMATE greatness |

The fact that he's turning down millions of dollars because it will interfere with his training is not something you hear athletes ever doing. |

The fact that he's turning down millions of dollars because it will interfere with his training is not something you hear athletes ever doing. I don't think he'll ever be a capable starting NFL QB in this league, but I know he'll never stop trying to get better, and those types of players are the ones you never count out. I think turning down some endorsements early on is both to be commended, and also questioned like rotary suggests. He's going to sign a huge contract, and sooner or later, he's also going to have some nice endorsements too. In fact, he'll probably end up being the highest paid clipboard holder in the entire league with his endorsements included, and the fact that I don't think he'll ever be better than a backup QB. Not a lot of second and third stringers get endorsements anyways. To be fair to Tebow, he's going to work his ass off to be better, and there is nothing to write home about Orton or Quinn. |

Because not many people outside of Tom Brady turn down 7 figure endorsements. I'll be the first to acknowledge that they had so many coming their way, they could easily pick and choose what they wanted to do, and still be filthy rich. But they did turn some down over the years. |
