Yeah i think they are both good, but the one thing they should never do again is lend their voices to video games. Berman in 2k5 and Madden just sound like idiots on video games.

I can find them annoying like a drunk uncle, but hate I reserve for special cases.

I hate John Madden but Berman is alright.


My reason for hating Mr. Madden is simply he doesn't talk football. He talks more about chicken, pumpkin pie, and whos mom cooks the best then football. Al Michaels carries his worthless ass and everytime i hear Madden talk i want to stab myself.

but i always find it comical. and entertaining...why, cause they're so off base it's funny.


Like in 99 season, Berman was going over a few games w/ young QB's and each title he mentioned what colelge they went to..and then Rich Gannon clip... Rich gannon, From Delaware...i dont know, just found it funny

Berman is a little full of himself...okay, way too full of himself, and he frequently goes overboard, but at least he's moderately entertaining.
I love Madden. I disagree: he DOES provide a great deal of insight, when he talks about football. He explains the way plays develop for individual players as well as for the team as a unit, and how the individuals play fits into the overall scheme. If you don't catch that, you're simply not listening. True, when he deviates from the subject of football, he doesn't have much too add. But he KNOWS football inside out, from the perspective of the player and the coach. Sure, he gets a little overenthusiastic at times, but that's because he loves the game.
